If you are a history buff, this park has some amazing take-ways. This is a 41-acre site that is full of hiking trails, historic encampments, cannons and more. There are a total of 5 sites that you can walk to (but it would be a long walk) or drive to.
This is a wonderful place to explore. I am not a history buff, but I enjoyed going through the park and thinking of the soldiers who were stationed here back in the 1800s. You can find this park off of Mount Hope Church Road in North Stafford. This would be a good hike to take the kids on. We are lucky to have such history so close.
